2016 Auris Icon petrol/manual - theft alarm was triggered when I manually unlocked the central locking handle with the key.

Hi, Should this happen? I've read the Toyota owner's manual but the information is unclear.

For me I used the remote keys to lock and unlock to stop the alarm.

I presume the fob containing the electronics was left in the house.

or put it another way.

You just removed the hidden key and left the rest of the holder in the house.

Not quite op has an e120 2006 corolla, just remote central locking and a key that you physically put in ye olde ignition barrel and turn
