Head up display and all screens go dim

 have a brand new Taris Cross Urban HYBRID AWD   AND HAVE AN INTERMITTENT  display  brightness.

 

Apparently without adjsutment  to ant thing,  the HUD,  GPS   and drivers display are reduced to about 25%  brightness.  It still drives OK

 

What is the mnatter??.

My first port of call on this issue is a trip to the dealership asap.

It will when you go into darker places to stop it dazzling you.  You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings if I remember correctly.

Perfectly normal, it will do this when it senses darkness above, so trees, bridges, overpasses, clouds etc. can all trigger it to dim.

The light sensor is a little dome on the passenger side; If you cover it the displays will dim, if you shine a light on it they will brighten.
