Can anyone confirm if the Carista app now allows you to set auto locking (I.e. on drive off) on 2019 Corolla?  It certainly didn’t give the option last year, however it is now on the website customisations listed for the Corolla. Just thought I’d ask before spending the heady total of £9.95 for a month sub. 😀

It won't as the Corolla sold in Europe & UK market doesn't support that feature.

Thanks - I just noticed as it wasn’t on the list last year.

Does thinking with Carista void the cars warranty?

Not at all.
You can’t do anything with Carista that can change any option to void the warranty. Many new cars even comes with these settings menu built into the car screen and no need even Carista or similar to change them.
I stopped paying yearly subscription at 08/12/22 to have a break down again on 20th or December, paid again £47 but hey the device and it’s capabilities is priceless. Saved me few hundred quits.
Here some screen shots.

So it doesn’t actually work with one outright purchase ?

I mean if I only want to do the customisation is the purchase of the adapter without the subscription enough ?

It might be if they still offer one month free subscription with new device purchase. There are actually 3 options for subscription afterwards 1 month for £10, 3 months for £30 and one year for £47 which is best deal. If you only after customisation you can get away with free first month and then if you change your mind  and want to customise again perhaps one month for £10 will do it. The good bit is that you can use the adapter with any other third party apps. Android has dr Prius , hybrid assistant for monitoring your hybrid system and Battery

Carista app need generic ELM327, veepeak or panglong can use it fully.  I never a fans of Carista  app because it is replaceable with many cheaper app. Dr.Prius, Torque Pro with Prius3 PIP can read live monitoring and codes in details. It is the most expensive app because of the subscription type.

Carista is good for customization,  but for diagnostic,  many better alternatives are available. Torque Pro is very powerful for that, only need one time €3.55 tor read and reset any code.

Dr. PRIUS can read and also monitor individual Battery states and benchmarks it. The free edition is enough including disabling some beepings (reverse, seat belts, etc.)

I may get 1 month Carista for programming keys or TPMS if i ever need one. But not for diagnostic, it is too expensive and substitutable.

It’s true, Carista subscription its a bit expensive but having a possibility to diagnose the issue and order the parts I need via my phone on the side of the road during early hours of the day and take the car safely home knowing what exactly its wrong it’s priceless, all that made possible with Carista, no dealers , no recovery trucks, no garages for repairs, saved me tons of hassle and money. I don’t regret paying for the subscription., and I pay only after the problem has happened. I bought the Carista in 2019 and used two years later for a first time, not bad , never paid anything  before that.

Bit dissapointed with this when I found out to be honest, auto locking is a really convenient feature.
Same with the auto dipping when in reverse option I find on my TS.

I agree with Tony about software when we need it. There are some stuff that Carista offer but others don't and vice versa.  But for diagnostic thr engine, body, etc. I found Torque is better and permanent license. Dr. Prius is the best for diagnostic hybrid system performance (free). Carista is the best for car customization (especially VW) and TPMS for Auris1 and pre-facelift Auris2, not so much for newer Toyota.

I attached the PID for Auris and Prius gen 3 for Torque Pro. It can reads almost every parameters (100+) with graph reading, etc.
