Speed camera beeping

I need help!

I updated my phone the other day and the next time I was in the car it said "do you want to tether"  So I did.

Now I get dynamic display of speed cameras on the map.  Which is great.  But I also get beeps about them.  Which is horrendous.

I've looked through settings and the manuals and I can't see a way to stop it beeping.

Anyone know?

I do too ... but I tend to ignore irritating beeps ... 😉

I don't know how to 'fix' it but you could try:

• Disabling the Audible warning for Speed limits
• Disabling "Show speed cameras"

The later should work ...

Since my car was properly updated a few weeks ago by the dealer I get two high pitched beep beeps. This is not from the phone end of things but the in-built SATNAV which now shows speed camera locations. To be honest I've left it alone because I get the beeps in advance and more reliably than I seen to get a warning from Google Maps or Waze. Don't know if we are talking about the same thing?

I stoped those in my former Prius PHV 2018 and it helped.

Havent tried it in or RAV 4 PHEV jet, though

(the beep was mush "loder/noicier" in our Prius PHV 2018. Dont bother us that mush in our RAV 4 PHEV

Yes it's the beepbeep when you approach a speed camera.

I think tethering has allowed the car to use phone data which it didn't before.

Found a few vids and I think the only way to stop it is to disable speed camera display completely in map settings.

It's not map settings on the infotainment.  I turned off the show speed cameras, they disappeared off the map but it still #&×<#^ing beeped at me 🤣

Might be the rsa settings but I've got them all set to Visual only.

Exact same problem as OP described. 2019 Rav4 here. Did the Android auto update and used it a few times.

Now suddenly it beeps, always around spots with speed cameras nearby. Worst thing is that speed cameras are off on infotainment. Did anyone find a fix?

Ps. Saw videos on YouTube about detailed navigation settings, that option does not show for me.

I have tried not showing speed cameras in NAV settings, but it did not help. I then tried disabling various driver assist features (including RSA, which detects speed signs), but beeping continued. Not sure if disabling speed warnings completely within the RSA would help because when the actual overspeeding warning kicks in – it is a completely different sound for me.

UPD:
Not experienced this effect when driving today at all. What I tried doing based on advice from other people:

1) Switched off sway warning within LTA
2) Switched off all speed warnings in RSA to "Do not notify"
3) Switched off BEEP on the multimedia screen in the settings

So, I am yet to test which one is the one that helped, but actually for now my biggest bet is on the BEEP setting for the screen
