2020 Yaris hybrid Excel mutlimedia upgrade

Firstly i havent contacted the garage yet as would like some info and advise before discussing the question with them 

a friend has bought a 2020 Yaris excel but it has the basic multimedia sytem, i.e no sat nav

is this now a possiblity after market upgrade? if so any ideas of possible charges?

Mk3 or Mk4, mk3 doesn't support android auto or Apple car play - i would not take it to a dealer unless you have deep pockets TBH they don't want to get involved

A decent quality aftermarket system with all the bells and whistles will be £400-500 all said and done

Other posters have queried this before, and I do think that Toyota can do it bu will charge you a lotta lotta money. In regards to Toyota satnav from comments on here it’s nothing to write home about. On any journey that I’m not familiar with I just use my Garmin with lifetime free updates and I find it’s excellent. I think Frosty has got in before me and replied.

If me would never bother to have car built in sat nav maps. There are basically only two makes that worth this attention, first is Tesla and then Rivian. Anything else you will be better off buying a third party screen with Apple car play and android auto, or simply you can use your phone as sat nav.

Not convinced the Toyota supplied satnav beats google maps on an iPhone. Spent many years navigating happily with a phone attached to a magnetic mount. You can still use Siri to make hands free changes.

If it's the mk4, it has Android auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, designed to be used with a mobile phone
