Knocking noise in cold weather from cold Yaris 1.33 auto

Wondered if anyone has experience of this please. First when snow was thawing a relatively loud knocking noise as if brakes were binding due to slush. Noise went when went home and set off again. Then did again during recent heavy rain. Bit of research didn't confirm if maybe wheel bearing on way out. Off next week and chance to get into main dealer to get looked at. Tia.

Need more info! Is this only happening while you're moving? Does it vary with road speed or engine rpm?? Can you record the sound?

Strange in that doesn't happen in cold and dry weather. 20-25 mph for first 100 yards as though got a flat tyre or wheel arch liner flapping about but neither true. First time did 5 miles in 40-50 limits after setting off and noise had gone. Probably easier to get looked at and report back.

Maybe a stick or something has gotten stuck somewhere it shouldn't be?

It might be from the rust that builds up between the disc and the pads when the car is parked. Then when you start driving the car may clunk and the lads unstick from the disc but will continue to bind until you use them more or drive at higher speeds and friction cleans the surfaces. Perhaps nothing to worry. A brake service, cleaning, checking and lubricating the brakes might be beneficial. 👍

Thanks. Could well be the case, had brake clean 13 months ago, brakes sound horrible when rained but do clear up. It'll make the noise in morning if going to. Found evidence it did get a several point check with oil change last month. Service not synched with MOT so that will flag up anything before the summer. Don't imagine any issues.
