Adaptive Cruise Control Failure - Be Careful !!!

I was at my dealer today to pickup my bZ4X for some problems. Anyway I showed this video and the technician told me there was a recall regarding this issue and they fixed it now!

I was shocked! I don't details yet but asked for a copy of service report. I will share with you the recall details. I don't know if this is something new or not.

There is another thread where some 21/22 Yaris/Cross are under recall for ACC alignment. Maybe a production problem?

ACC seems to be OK on our Cross, but late last year the car was covered in heavy dew, and for 3 seconds flashed some amber lights for collision detection fault. Never seen it before or since.

Car was covered in ice this evening, and everything seemed to work.

Seems it is most sensitive to dirt from spray. I make a point of cleaning the windshield, bumpers and cameras often.

Ok, I received the report. But there is no clue if this is a new or old recall. XGG95?????

I saw the report at the technican it was saying forward collision issue and he confirm this is for DCC.

XGG95 - Due to the programming of the Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) software within the forward recognition camera, when a subject vehicle passes a line of stopped or parked vehicles, there is a possibility of a discrepancy on detected objects between the PDA and TSS or LSS+ system. If this occurs, the camera will be rebooted and TSS or LSS+ functions will be inoperative for approximately 4 seconds, during which time the PCS system will be inoperative and the PCS warning light will be illuminated. After rebooting, the functions will be restored and operative.

It was launched 16th Feb 23.

It is good that we have such people among us.  A huge advantage.

Same thing is happening to me in my Subaru Solterra. It happens more often when it’s raining, but without rain too. Sensors are clean. ACC not recognizing vehicle in front of me. I know it doesn’t use Subaru’s EyeSight technology, but at least that one used to warn me and disable. https://youtube.com/shorts/JHq_sToeHYQ?si=LTbXAwt0HF88f8JP

I’ve had the same issue only when it’s raining. Also my acc will stop working with a system stopped message randomly. But mainly going uphill in the rain.

I've had exactly the same issue with the RAV 4 PHEV model, somewhat surprised that there is not some kind of heater designed into the radar head.  If the conditions are bad, snow etc. I try to stop reguulary to clear the snow away and make sure that I keep this part of the car, at least, well 'waxed' to help keep it clear as much as possible.

My issue was addressed through a recall, and after the software patch was applied, the problem with the safety camera has been resolved.
