keep 2014 avensis or sell and buy a 2014/2015 2.2 toyota rav 4x4 2.2

hello you guys im not sure i know these toyota avenis are a die hard car the ones with the 1adftv engine well tbh i love my car its class no bother at all but im half minds in buying a toyota rav 4x4 2.2  higher spec one leather seats etc but im not sure what people think about them . do they rust bad or is there any bad faults on them. im not bothered either way i know the older ones the car tax is dear  but the 2014 on its 165 a year car tax. plus i wonder are they like the toyota pickups as you can put it into 4x4 with a switch or is it perm 4x4 all the time . thanks you guys for the info. as i say im not really bothered but half intrested i like the looks of the newer shape ones nos so much the older ones
