The maintenance schedule on newer Corolla for coolant change only have 100k miles interval, no info about time. The older Auris was 7y and then 5y.  Does anyone know the info about the maximum time?

The blue coolant SLLC has 11 y/150k miles and then 6y.   Both blue and pink are phospated HOAT,  typical european cars (silicates HOAT). Silicates is less reactive to hard water and phospate is more gentle to water pump. That's why now Toyota sell pre-diluted SLLC to prevent owners added tap water.

As far as I'm aware the Toyota SLLC blue coolant is for use in the GT86/GR86 as these models use Subaru engines.

Since the introduction of the Pink SLLC in 2003;

  • Engine coolant interval has been 100,000 miles /10 years then 60,000 / 6 year thereafter

  • Post 2009 Hybrid inverter 150,000 miles / 15 years then 60,000 / 6 year thereafter

Others;

  • GT86 with Subaru boxer engine uses specific Blue SLLC 100,000 miles /10 years then 60,000 / 6 year thereafter
  • Auris, Avensis, Verso & Rav4 using 1.6/2.0 1WW/2WW BMW engine uses a Specific Blue SLLC 100,000 miles /10 years then 60,000 / 6 year thereafter

Proace with Stellantis engines uses Specific Blue coolant

Thanks for the info. I had a copy of my Auris and Corolla maintenance schedule (attached). It said 7 y and then 5y. In Corolla, it only said km. I am not sure how to read such maintenance schedule.

There seems to be changes made here then.
Hybrids gen 3 from 2010-2015 first coolant change on engine at 100000 miles or 10 years and then after each 50000 miles or 5 years, for inverter first change at 150000 miles or 10 years, then after every 50000 miles or 5 years. Pink coolant for both.
I would say if no high mileage drive change those at 10 years mark and then at 15 years or each 50k miles if you drive more. Job it’s super easy and coolant doesn’t cost that much, £100 for two packs is enough for one change  on both engine and inverter.
