Or Triumph 2.5Pi's - as long as they replace the original wheel trims to reduce them slicing into the tyre valves ....

Or Wolseley 6/110's with bells instead of sirens.

Maybe black MK3 zodiacs to chase any criminal element among the classic car crowd.

Hmm, maybe not, most people with classic cars seem to be law abiding.

Ford Zephyr 6's used in the long running TV series Z-Cars were 'daffodil yellow' as they showed up better than white on videotape .....

I remember reading about Railton (sp?) cars being used by the London police during the war in the 40s.

Sounds like they shifted a bit quick.

Probably would have been the Railton Cobham

Rather than the 24 litre Napier- Railton Special

or the Railton Mobil Special (which is in Birmingham Science Museum)

As there was no place to put the blue light on the latter two

That one in the first picture, I like the looks of that.

To me, that is a proper car, makes me wonder if these were available to the generation before me at auction,as some ex police vehicles are now.

A pal some years ago, bought a Granada 3 litre triple carb ,ex police, from Newark auction.

It shifted a bit too.
