Hi Andy,

Have never used them but have seen their vehicles on the road quite regularly. There's a company called PIRTEC that can repair hydraulic hoses properly. They seem to concentrated around the midlands area and London. It would mean you taking them the old pipe/hose with the fittings and they replace accordingly. They're based in Nechells, Birmingham.

Other than that I think you'll be needing a main dealer to supply it. Sure that some like Flash or Frosty will know where you can get hold of one.

I'm fairly sure that PIRTEK (not Pirtec as previously spelt) have a mobile service and will do a call out to you but it might empty your bank account just as quick as the main dealer will. Maybe worth giving them a call and comparing the costs.

They also have units in Oldbury, Wolverhampton and Coventry.

Pirtek do have a mobile service but you may find they would want the pipe removed first as cars are not the sort of vehicle they normally work on / supply pipes for.

You could remove the old pipe & take it in to your nearest Pirtek / Hose Doctor / Hydraquip centre - they could make up a suitable replacement pipe using the old one as a pattern.

FWIW - Toyota forklifts have a contract with Hydraquip for hose supply where an OE / genuine hose isn't available.

I must be used to dealing with high prices, £160 seems reasonable to me, some power steering pipes I sell are £500 plus
