OBDII code P0141 on year 2000 Toyota Yaris

Hello everybody, I have just purchased an 'X' registration Yaris with the Engine Management Light on and error code P0141 on the scanner. Done a bit of looking up and it's something to do with the O2 / Lambda Sensor, most likely either the sensor itself or the fuse (but possibly the wiring (although hoping not))

Could I start by asking if anybody knows which fuse / fuses it is that looks after the O2 sensor please ?

Thanks in advance.

There is not a fuse, ultra common fault on older cars the sensor is B1 S2 so is after the cat

Don't buy cheap o2 sensors if you intend keeping the car

what engine do you have ?

Hello there, thanks for the reply. It has the 1SZ-FE engine. So are you saying it's definitely the sensor ? Would you be able to recommend a specific one e.g from Euro Car Parts or similar please. I probably won't keep the car long, it's for my girlfriends daughter to get experience and pass her test after which I will sell it on - I need to be able to get it through MOT in a couple of months though.

If you can get under the car and check the wiring too that will be a help. On my wifes corolla part of the cable had been chewed through!

From.what i remember it then comes through the floor by the centre tunnel near to the gearstick. You'll need an O2 sensor removal socket which has a slot to allow the cable to sit it in (which I'm sure you probably know, please do excuse me if so). You may want to try cleaning the old sensor with a blowtorch.
