Hi Paul, my knowledge of window seals is that water will always go past these and inside the door. That is why you have drain holes in the bottom of all car doors that you need to make sure are not blocked. More importantly there is a plastic membrane behind the door card which stops water getting into the car! This plastic membrane needs to be in one piece and securely stuck to the door frame everywhere. A lot of people have a problem inside the door and rip all this out fix whatever and don't put everything back properly hence you then have water inside the car. Hope this helps and I am sure there will be others along shortly who may be able to help.

regards Terry
