Handbrake stuck - maybe not Estima specific

Hi,

I left my car parked for a week. (2007 Estima Hybrid) 

Upon disengaging the handbrake, the symbol disappears from the display, but the car does not move. The gears work well.

What could be the issue?

Hi Mohammed,

Not sure of your parking brake setup on your model but try this if it's the same setup in the video. This will show how you can free the parking brake. It could be a problem with the motor on the brake caliper that has seized or a broken cable but try this first. Hope this helps.

Is it a foot parking brake or is it electronic ?

i take it, it goes into ready mode ? Does the engine fire into life ?
