Presumably these are Japanese imports rather than European market models.

Sorry I never mentioned they was destined for Singapore, made in Japan, so not EC models. However upon comparison they are exact the same apart from speedo in km, indicators lever is on the right.

That's all.

FWIW - My C-HR the certificate of conformity was in the handbook pack when I collected the vehicle.

Is this link any use to you?

Importing & Exporting Your Vehicle | Owners | Toyota UK

Toyota UK could only issue a date of manufacture, They said they only deal with European Vehicles.

Can't issue any information on any others.

There reply below

I am afraid as the vehicles are non EU we physically do not have access to any of the information you are requesting.

The cars are not EU compliant or type approved, you will need to get them through an IVA to register them in the UK , before that you need to pay the duty and import fees

You can find a list of cars that have model reports here

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/public-iva-model-reports

IVA information

Just found this info from 12/2022 giving the definitions

Directive Compliance
- a Certificate of Conformity (for a ‘complete’ or ‘completed’ vehicle)
- a manufacturer’s letter of Directive compliance
Note : In the case of a Certificate of Conformity for an ‘incomplete’ approval, as
the vehicle does not have full approval, it will be necessary to provide a vehicle
specific letter from the manufacturer confirming which Directives the vehicle
meets. ‘Relevant Directives’ relating to a goods vehicle of category N1 are those
listed on the application form.

Comparison Test – A comparison check (but not in respect of emissions) with a
known type approved vehicle. This is conducted at a designated Technical Service
(Test Laboratory).

Directive Test – Physically having a test conducted to the appropriate Directive
standard at a Technical Service.

Model Report – The use of a Model Report compiled from data obtained from tests
conducted at a designated Technical Service.

Comparable Standard – Providing evidence that the vehicle meets a recognised
standard from a non European country that is considered to be comparable to that
required for IVA e.g. a Japanese, US or Australian standard.

COMPARABLE STANDARD FROM JAPAN
You will need to provide either a Japanese export certificate or a letter from the manufacturer
confirming that the vehicle has been built to a Type designation and specification standard in
Japan.

You will also need to provide evidence of compliance with the EC Emissions Directive, if the vehicle
has not been registered for at least six months in Japan.

Hi

Iv already been down that route

These are the prices they quoted.

Noise 550

Emissions 2500

Brakes 15k

Never mind the emissions scandals they have been part of and they know full well all my vehicles are euro 6. Yet they want vin specific.

Iv had the same engine as the imports in my other car for 5 years.

Thanks again

Hi

Mine are from Singapore and the Japanese can only do this whilst they are still in Japan.

Only this highlighted in Yellow is what they want.

Have you any details how to contact them in Japan?

Thanks

Hi

Some of that testing you have listed costs £50k and above.

Unless I come into some money id rather scrap my cars than pay anything like that as they know full well without doubt these are euro 6.

Thanks

You may say they are Euro 6, but they haven't been tested against that standard.

As the vehicles were intended for Singapore, have you tried to get information from the Toyota Distributor in Singapore - Inchcape Singapore: Contact Us (inchcape.com.sg)

Iv tried buddy everything for 5 months. Yes they said they want the cars with them back there to do a letter.

There exact words

As advised letters of compliance can only be issued with a vehicle inspection to confirm if modified. In this instance as the vehicles have left, we are unable to assist with your request.

Thanks

looks like you have 3 options, sell the cars off to someone who exports to South Africa, or export the cars back get them compliant and re-import

send them back to Singapore and sell them over there

This is what they will accept.

Some are in excess of around 10k each vehicle.

It's Dvsa not dvla and they won't do comparable stardards as all 3 cars are very similar to the UK models.
