Toyota auris excel hybrid 2014 mirrors have just stopped retracting when car is locked

Here is the automatically folding and extending the electric mirrors procedure from the user manual.

I sprayed a little PTFE spray lubricant into the electric motor to ease it folding. Mine were fairly dry.

OP has been there and done that, mirrors open and close manually, It's something to do with either the open/close signals, power or the logic in the switch

As the OP knows, it all depends on the type of switch used, once we know the switch type, we can diagnose it
