P3000 error code on 2007 prius hybrid

Can anyone help me please. My 2007 petrol/hybrid Prius is in my local garage for repair, but they are having issues finding the problem. The error code P3000 is the only code coming up. The car started blowing air from the hybrid Battery vent and the front engine is making a lot of noise. The car is struggling to move and jerks excessively. The lights on the dashboard are the red triangle and the yellow ( ! ). The mechanic has tested the hybrid Battery cells and theses one cell down, but the rest are ok. The wiring in the boot has been changes as they were corroding. After the wiring was replace and the error code cleared the car ran fine but then had the same issue again 2 minutes later. Has anyone had the same problem or got any ideas what the problem could be please.

You've almost stated the solution - poor connection to the HV Battery and a worn cell. Clearly seems related as the car ran for a minute or two.

There should be a sub-code to P3000 as this is just a generic HV Battery system malfunction code. You may need to use a Toyota specialist / dealer who is able to read this code.

Gets a good OBD2 scanner like Veapeak or Carista. Use Carista Software, it can detect actual code with specific to Toyota. It is most likely failing hybrid Battery. Time to shop around and prepare for £2000 new Battery replacement. Don't waste your money on used Battery that will fail again in months.
