Do you get hard copies or are they downloads / online?

This is for a 2022 Corolla.

Good morning Roger.

I got a hard copy with mine.  However it is (in my opinion) woeful - and likely for an earlier incarnation of Corolla.  It seems hard to find what I am looking for, and when I do then it doesnt answer my question!  It may have lost meaning in poor translation.

If you hunt around on the website you can download the manual that seems rather better.

The manual is not really important these days since we all use smartphone. It is just 1 kg more weight on the glove box. Even the maintenance book is now online but you can print your own if you DIY.

Thanks for the replies.

The situation is that I bought a 1 year old Corolla from a Toyota dealership only to find the manuals and service history are missing. I'm just trying to gauge how much of a fuss I should make.

I've downloaded the 3 manuals (owner, nav and media I think) and been offered a "service print", whatever that is.

Roger, service history, keep nagging till you get it.

I bought a 10 year old Mercedes E220, the advert stated FSH, when we got the car they salesman said he could not find it.  What he did do was say he would get a new one.  He got the maintenance details from Mercedes, wrote up the book and then sent it to every garage that had serviced the car over the preceding 10 years.  Once complete it was posted to me.

A one-year Corolla should be easy and essential.  When I traded mine in it was a required item by Toyota.

Depends what you class as the service history. If you're expecting previous invoices, etc, then these aren't alway supplied by dealers due to data protection as regards the previous owner. With the last two cars we part exchanged, all the (different) dealers wanted were stamped up to date service/warranty books. They didn't want service invoices even if these had been anonymised.

As regards the owners manual, the full version can be downloaded from toyota.co.uk

When you register your account on my Toyota website add the car you have bought and you will be able to check all service history done within the main dealer network and see any accident repairs, recall done, services carried out, everything 👍

Yes my Passat was online for the service info but I had a hard copy of the manuals. It's like plaiting fog trying to get a hard copy of the Corolla manuals though, so far been given a User Guide which briefly covers everything but not the the three owners manuals. You'd think when you spend circa £30k on a car you'd be given the instructions. I've downloaded the pdf's but they aren't easy to follow on a tablet.
