Radio Problems?

Hello from a new member.

Has anyone (else) had any problems with the radio in their Prius? Mine hisses and crackles so much that sometimes it's impossible to hear the programme. The interference seems to be related to the Battery, as it gets worse when it's charging.

I've reported it to the garage where I bought the car, and they acknowledge that there's a problem, but that's it so far.

I have never been impressed with the Radio. Reception on National Radio stations is ok, but weaker local stations seem to suffer poor reception. Sound from the CD is better but does seem to have a problem with vibration from the bass speaker above the display.

What is this Grant that you are talking about?

Powershift grant...was £1,000 when I got my Prius. Believe it to be £700 now and you have to make a claim before buying the car.

I had a great deal of trouble getting it....but managed in the end!

See some of the other threads for more details.

Applicable to the UK only
