Anyone know how to adjust the guidance volume? Tried "play a test sound" and adjusting on the media screen but it only does the car audio.

To adjust the navigation guidance volume level, switch to your vehicle's multimedia system from Android Auto™, by selecting the Toyota icon on Android Auto™ main screen. Then select Settings (gear icon), 'Voice settings', and use the 'Navigation Guidance Volume' slider bar.👍

Thanks but I'm struggling with switching to my multimedia system from the Android Auto main screen. There isn't a Toyota icon. In fact there isn't really an Androud Uto main screen on my system. Unless I'm misunderstanding something.

How have you connected your phone?  A wireless connection will connect the phone for phone calls but you need a bluetooth connection or wired for Android Auto. 

My phone only connects with AA by wire.  This is a phone function not a Toyota one.

Yes, AA is working fine through the USB connection, its just really loud. On my previous car the volume could be adjusted by going to the test sound option in AA / Google maps and adjusting using the dial on the media system while the test announcement was speaking. I have a feeling that in an earlier version of Google Maps there was an option within the app itself, but can't do either on the Corolla and can't find anything else either.

Toggling different options I found a feature that others said was there but I had not found in 4 months. 

Having found it, I don't think I'll bother with it again. 😁

Yes I know what you mean. There's something going on with the how the native Nav screen is being viewed that I haven't got my head round yet. Couldn't even recreate it at the moment.
