2016 Yaris Touchscreen stopped working

The Touchscreen on my dads 2016 Yaris has stopped working, sometimes the bottom of the touchscreen will respond and sometimes not.

At the moment the unit is refusing to turn on. Any suggestions before I find one from a salvage car

Does it have Nav ? If so, remove the radio unplug the nav module and move the USB plug (large grey, square plug) from the Nav module to the main unit (DA)

No nav.

Thanks,  advert says to check compatibility of module, what does this mean? Also says its had a new touchscreen digitiser whatever that is....

Also could I upgrade to one with DAB radio? His seems to be the only one I've seen without DAB

Also seen this one which has DAB radio.

It's from a hybrid which shouldn't matter..?

Most of the Touch2's have dab as standard unless it's a really base spec car

that will work

 

pull the radio out it may have the dab aerial taped to the loom, if not you can get a screen mount DAB aerial with a Female SMB

It's an Icon. Think it might be because it came from Ireland. All the GB ones seem to have on 2015 onwards..

Ah ok, The Irish cars are Euro spec, even Ni cars have slight variations to the UK ones plus the Irish DAB system was not widely adopted and has been killed off recently

So where is factory DAB antenna on GB cars with DAB ?

Can I buy a Toyota antenna?

DAB cars either have a shark's fin on the roof and a DAB aerial stuck to the windscreen or a DAB/FM aerial on the roof (UK spec)

if you go over to a roof mount, you will  need to swap the aerial and all the aerial wiring

the cheaper option would be to add an aftermarket DAB aerial
