I read somewhere that this recall was  for RAV4 PHEV vehicles manufactured between 26 November 2019 and 17 June 2021.

I Haven't received anything so far for my December 2021 manufactured PHEV. Does this stack up with those receiving the recall letter?

Mine was manufactured 9th June 2021 so just in that date range. I didn't think the PHEVs went back to late 2019, not for the UK anyway.

Yes you're right it seems it was first introduced in Japan in June 2020 and the following year in UK

Not got a letter as either I'm just outside the date range (car delivered September 2021) or the company lease business is just slow in writing to me. It did take a few weeks before I got the brake controller recall letter which came attached to a letter from the lease company.

Miffed that I'm probably making another dealer visit in a short period of time...

1. 1st service (and failed attempt at the brake actuator controller recall)

2. Brake actuator recall (success)

3. 12V Battery draining issue (caused by 1.) For 2 days

4. Probably ECU reprogramming coming up.

1. to 3. within 3 months late last year.

I'm going to ask the dealer manager for my own parking slot. 😂

Not sure you have it if it's a lease car but if you do, check the certificate of conformity, that has the build date. I got mine in Sept 21 as well but it was built early June 21.

In Sweden we got RAV 4 PHEV in autumn 2020.

Got the letter on Saturday. First available appointment 5th April - that's taking the Mickey.

I contacted our local dealer/garage on thursday  23 feb, and got time for update 9 march. I thought THAT was a bit to long to wait 😉

So dealer did the two updates XGG88 and XGG78 (ECU, DCM) and as far as I can tell it’s all OK.

What surprised me was the number of people crushed into the dealership buying cars, the place was rammed with people queuing for somewhere to sit. They had one guy dedicated to parking cars, there were cars all over the place.

Got mine for both updates here in France too a week ago.. DCM by ordinary mail, and the ECU by registered mail. Subtle shades of importance!

Had our Rav 4 phev at our local Toyota dealer/garage for (two) updates today/this morning and it was finished at noon (12 a clock Swedish time) . So far everything seems to work well but they said that we have to wait for about/ up to 48 h ( from 12 a clock/noon) before everything (updates and My T connection) supose to work properly
