I always said I liked to drive my aygo II on the highway more than in the city and still support that claim.

Knowing you can ask the aygo to follow an other car and it does the steering too (adaptive cruise control with steering assist), I suppose that will give an extra calmness of driving too.

Haven't tried it for really long rides yet so I am not experienced yet.. Sorry.

Bottom story : don't think you won't get from Manchester to Inverness with this car. It's fine to do trips like this. And cheap !

The dynamic cruise and auto-steer are great for the boring bits of motorway. I love that I can be ehhhh bored now you drive

It's especially fantastic when you hit those godawful 50mph zones for smart motorway construction (Which I thought they'd stopped, pending an investigation into its total lack of safety, and yet they keep starting new sections...!?)

I've had my Aygo-X for 6 months (exactly today) I have had a 2017 and 2020 aygo before all automatic, I liked the paddles for the hills mostly to avoid up/down shifts on hills. At first I was disappointed no paddles on the edge model (I test drove the exclusive as it was the only auto available) After 6 months I never really missed them as the CVT gearbox eliminates the shifting on hills and mostly I reserve manual mode for setting off fast or going down hills and I'm happy to just use the stick.

My round trip Wokingham to Glasgow, was absolutely fine.  All you have to remember is that you are in a Aygo X 🤣
