hi all hopeing someone can help, i'll start the problem from the top. im a hilux virgin so go easy on me

purchased a toyota hilux 2002 (mk5 i believe) with engine management light on and in limpmode.

plugged in my diagnostics and it wont connect..pressume this is normal? anyhow did a manual test on jumping connectors as found on google ( https://procarmanuals.com/toyota-hilux-fault-codes/amp/?fbclid=IwAR3DmoHJN4i41lHfsULElgc4xl2XiIyoyyAmb9cyJzBCWyiahWUhxrif8TA )

which comes back with code '78 Incorrect change in the signal from the rear left wheel speed sensor'

i have found lh and rh sensors for sale General image of a LH rear ABS Sensor on vehicle - Plug type without loom

but my truck doesnt have these? or a loom going there? can anyone help? is the code wrong?
