Something for the flare bracket?

As you might have seen, our beloved imports can have a flare bracket in the passenger footwell designed to hold a flare.

Naturally, this was not in place anymore on my import, but I do have the bracket there ready to hold...well...something.

I was iinterested to learn if anyone had used their bracket for something else like maybe a compact umbrella?

Anyone make any use of theirs? 🙂

Nope. The clamps are pretty weak. But you could put a torch if you find one the right size. I've got the original Japanese flare, which has a tendency to fall out. Hence it now resides in a cardboard box.

Torch isn't a bad idea. I guess I just keep noticing it sat there empty 😕

Flare still in place and holding well, you just never know when you might need it.

I would imagine that they are pretty handy for deterring car jackers.
