New owner of a hiace very low mileage!

Got to the age, where I've sold all my cars and bought a 2004 hiace window van.

It's just covered 4878 miles from new and is a time warp to the naughties!

It's better condition than my 2 year old work van!

Looking at making it into a day van 👍🏻

22 inch chrome spinners backlit with bright purple LEDs is the way to go.

Well it is if you're on the Lincolnshire massif anyway , three stripe umbro and bass bins optional.

😉 sounds a great van actually, and I bet it would make a very useful day van.

Does the condition match the mileage?

Photos would be good,if you can, and are happy to do so.

The condition is like new! Crazy, was stored inside most of its life! It's like a new van and at 1/3 of the price

Definitely needs go fast stripes to gain those extra 2 horses 🤪

Ah, the memories of go faster stripes.  I’m pining for my old Morris Marina 1.8 TC!

My dad had that car! Blue 1.8, used to jump a local bridge in it, oh the memories 😆

Mine was metallic brown with double gold go faster stripes and a tan coloured vinyl roof.  Looked sensational in its day but I think it would look a bit naff nowadays.  However, fashion has a habit of repeating itself and you might find the next generation Toyotas and other marques with similar colour schemes.  It was an incredibly fast car in a straight road but utterly useless, unstable and dangerous whenever you turned the steering wheel ever so slightly.

Welcome Paul.  Does it have go faster stripes?  😀

Can't go wrong with Go faster Stripes makes anything with wheels go faster 😂

My dad was a coach painter to trade and did some amazing colour schemes including putting the go faster stripes on cars.  Wish he was still around, he’d make a fortune personalising individual cars.  A frequent visitor to the Ford factories in the 60s and the very early 70s to learn about new paint techniques and applications.  A true craftsman.

Well done if it’s as good as the picture and hasn’t any corrosion issues then that’s a once in a lifetime find, you’ll get many many years of trouble free motoring. 👏👏🤞

Underseal it?

Will do, yes it's rust free! Did cost a lot though 🤪

About £20. I just did my car myself using LanoGuard. Two ramps at the back. Took about 45 minutes.

( Having hosed and dried underneath first. )

The hiace is slightly higher, so sending a child under there will do the trick, or the wife 😊

Good, prevention is much easier than cure as far as rust is concerned.
