Audio visual indicators car is locked or unlocked

I've had my Avensis (2016) for about a year now after inheriting it from my elderly mum. When I press the remote key to lock and unlock the car there is no audible (beep) or visual signs like hazard light flashing. I've only just found the owners manual on this car but I can't find anything in there to turn this feature on and off. Can anybody help at all please ?

Is the car actually locking and unlocking?

The hazards should flash (unless it has been disabled by the dealer). There’s no audible indication other than the mechanical “clunk”. If the car has auto-retractable wing mirrors then they may fold in when locked.

Everything works as far as I can see. Indicators and remote key. Alarm works as well. Was just wondering if there was an option to turn on some audio or visual indication to see when the car is locked or unlocked. So for example if I'm parked in a car park and can't quite remember where I've parked,  I can just press the remote from a distance and that can indicate to me where the car is. All my previous cars used to do that. Have looked in owners manual but can't find an option for it.
