Had my MOT and Service yesterday on my 2014 IQ2.

All fine. And always a nice feeling.

I did a price comparison between my local Toyota Garage and my local trusted independent.

The independent was about half the price, and they know me and my car.

Hey mate, happy to hear that! I have just purchased my first car and need a little bit of support. Are there any free mot checkers I can use online? How does that work? Apologies for silly questions

Yeah I know. There are a few I can recommend. You can also google it using "near me" location filter. There are a lot of criteria you have to take into consideration when you perform these checks. For example, as far as I know mot check mandatory and cars are being MOT tested for the first time after 3 years. Keep that in mind mate.

Thank you.

Not really sure what you mean...

Maybe these links will help?

Taken from the Government website (https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/mot-test-fees).

There is a maximum amount MOT test stations can charge. This depends on the type of vehicle. The maximum fee for a car is £54.85 and £29.65 for a standard motorcycle.

I had the MOT done on y C-HR in December last year and was charged £45.00. I got a discount form my Toyota dealer because I had a service plan with them. Our local charge my daughter £54.85 for her MOT
