Erik the Yaris 2012

Hi folks

After owning 2 'proper' Minis, 2 MG Midgets, and a Quantum (Fiesta Mk2 XR2 based) kit car, I have finally had a well deserved mid-life crisis, and purchased a sensible motor.  I think I've got that wrong somehow...  Benefits so far are a working heater, power steering, power brakes, radio I can hear, exhaust that doesn't wake the neighbours, being able to go places without being spotted, better fuel economy, non-leaking roof.  Did I mention the working heater??

Why Erik?  It's originally from York which was the capital of Viking Britain, and there was a film years ago called - Erik the Viking!

Mods to it are a K&N air filter, LED interior lights, and OSRAM Night Breaker bulbs.  It makes a change to be almost standard, and to be able to give a motor factors a number plate, and they know what it is, and get the correct part.  Although I used to have fun with the insurance company with the Quantum.  Specialist company, and the first question was always 'Is is modified?'  Erm...  It's a kit car...

Thanks for the support so far on this forum - even if I did fit the Cabin Filter the wrong way up(down).

Happy motoring (with a working heater!)

If you stay above 40mph, and under 65mph, then the rain goes straight over you, and you don't get wet 🙂
