Turbo faulty after only 90k miles!

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced turbo failure with their Auris Business Edition and if so, what they did about it. The car is only 7 years and 92,00 miles old and the turbo is currently tripping the engine warning light. I can't sell it as it is - certainly not with the warning light on nor for an amount that would cover the finance left on it. Meanwhile, my local Toyota garage have presented me with an estimate of a whopping £3,800 to fit a new one. I was loving my Auris until this was discovered - now it's a dilemma I have no idea what to do with. Any thoughts or advice welcome.

Hi,

If your car been serviced at Toyota dealer you should have relax warranty and it’s worth asking the dealer about it. I don’t know if this will cover the turbo though.

As regards the Relax warranty, turbocharger is covered under Engine. So if it was last serviced by a Toyota dealer it should be covered. See Relax terms attached.

I had a turbo replaced at 11 thousand miles thankfully the car was still under warranty 👏.
