Aygo X vibration noise

Recommended Posts

I've noticed my X has a vibration noise which you can hear on and off mainly on tickover, it's quite obvious from a cold start but as I say it comes and goes and either seems from behind the dash of bulkhead area. Hard to describe but it's a rattly/vibration tapping noise doesn't sound mechanical more like something rattling against something. Car has only done 750 miles and I don't really want the dash ripped out to find out the issue.

It happens to me yes

Prepare your self for this

Your whole dashboard need to be removed there is 2 ac pipes clipped with a plastic **** causing the noice there is no other way than removing all dashboard on mine they fixed it but they do somethingwrong and hear another sound from driver side also Toyota is informed about this be sure all Aygo x will get the same nooice.

There was this post in October 2022, not sure if same noise though.

I think the feedback from people was to give the car time to break itself in and settle down ? You have only done 750 miles, you need to give the engine some time to grow up a wee bit and obviously treat it gently until its done a few more miles👍

I've been very cautious as regards revs etc for its first few hundred miles but obviously when you hear something that doesn't sound right it does make you think if there is an issue. I wonder if Donrald would contribute as he said he had noticed a noise on his and whether it cured itself or if the dealer sorted it? I'm hoping it's not that AC issue as I don't fancy my dash being ripped out! Thanks for the input.

I'd give it at least 500 miles, because that's what the dealer will say, unless of course they are on the ball and spot something!!

Same issue with the Aygo X 2023 - after about 1000 miles from new, rattling noises started. Turned out to be a broken clip holding AC pipes situated on the bulkhead from the inner side. Courtesy car given by the local agent was the same model and same noises were heard. Clip replaced and same noise occurred after about one month.

Same issue with my AygoX 2024. After just one month, I am hearing this noise. It started faintly but as time passes it is become quite more frequent. Has anyone found any solution other than dismantling the dashboard? In all honestly I would not like to go through this process when the car is not even 4 months old.
