Remote climate control via MyT on 2022 Corolla Excel

The Toyota website has been updated to indicate that Remote climate control is available on certain Corolla models. I assumed that this was for 23 spec. vehicles, though my dealer confirmed that my 22 Excel should be able to avail this facility.

However -  I don't see the any options to remotely control the car. My dealer is at a loss to explain why. He's confirmed that the car has the latest software version installed.

Has he sent me on a wild goose chase?

I have a 22 GR Sport, the remote control isn’t available on this car & although unspecified extra features were promised nothing has been added in the 10 months I’ve had the car and I don’t think the hardware can handle remote control. Many dealers have a severe lack of knowledge about specifications and features but helped by poor communication from Toyota.

Looks like I'll have to "educate" my dealer. Quite unfortunate that he's always insisted that the features work on MY22 Excel Grade Corolla's.

Hi all. I finally managed to speak with someone from the Software team, and he has confirmed what @Devon Aygo said earlier.

"The remote climate function is not available on your car and it will not be added with an update, as far as we are aware. This may change in the future, but I can't promise anything."

I've informed my dealer accordingly! 😄
