After a few attempts to deactivate and a few more atempts to re-activate I have the climate control working. Cheers @marlot!

I'm just a bit annoyed that it took a considerable amount of time to do a simple task. 😕

Do you have lock/unlock or hazard lights?  I don't seem to.

None of that too, just the climate control. 😢

I have a different problem though: my trips are not being logged anymore. Did you experience anything of this?

The whole app services platform is rubish. I shouldn't need to re-connect to get the updates/new features...

Now that I have the remote climate control, I'm pretty happy.

I understand missing trips is a long-standing issue.

All my trips seem to show when I go to the toyota website.

After nearly a year without a Corolla I now have a MY23 2.0 Excel TS if you have any questions please ask away.

Has the rear view camera resolution improved?

Can you feel the extra power in the new 2.0 unit versus the previous model?

I can see them now, even in the Myt app. I guess it just needs a bit more time to sync.

I'm finding that a few things don't operate in quite the way that the manual (dated 2021) suggests.  So far:

  • A couple of the steering wheel buttons are in a different place (turn cruise on/off and select cruise mode have been reversed.  The new way seems more logical)
  • The auto high beam seems to just work - no need to push the stalk away from the driver
  • The option to alter the cruise control to a new speed after passing a new speed limit sign seems not to work

I guess just evolution in the traditional Toyota way.

I'm back to Toyota from Honda - so can't comment on how the MY23 compares with MY22.

  • A couple of the steering wheel buttons are in a different place (turn cruise on/off and select cruise mode have been reversed.  The new way seems more logical) Yep steering wheel control buttons have been revised over previous Corolla
  • The auto high beam seems to just work - no need to push the stalk away from the driver Again yes no need to move the stalk forwards with AHB on it now functions as soon as AHB switch is on and the stalk now functions normally whereas old setup had stalk in High beam position and needed moving to flash lights then remembering to move the stalk forwards to high beam to activate AHB
  • The option to alter the cruise control to a new speed after passing a new speed limit sign seems not to work as with previous Corolla when RSA recognises a new limit a green box with up or down arrow appears around limit an long press up / down should jump to new limit, as a side note the long /short press of up/down can ow be configured to a setting of drivers choice e.g short press can use increments of 1mph or 5mph and long press can use 5mph/10mph etc previous Corolla couldn't do this

As for manuals he MY23 manuals have been delayed with translation issues

Good spot for anyone who already has the jack etc.

I presume that the well for the spare is deep enough to take the wheel without it protruding above the rest of the boot floor? Do you know if the thread for a retaining spindle is still there (under the carpet)?

I still can't decide if I feel lucky enough to do without a spare...

On a TS as before there will be no issue and yes the threaded hole is there, adding a spare on HB 2.0 not an issue either, a 1.8 HB ordered without a spare is do-able but the pars to raise the boot floor are costly

Has the rear view camera resolution improved? - Slightly but that could be the improved screen rather than camera

Can you feel the extra power in the new 2.0 unit versus the previous model? Yes is feels quicker, more eager

I've been looking for that, but not seen it.  I'll have another go.

Is on the new Corolla 2023 suspension little bit higher than previous models? On the YouTube reviews they look slightly higher, at least the hatchback design spec ?

It looks like they have finally uploaded some. I've just found an owner manual, OM12Q65, and a multimedia manual, OM12Q74, dated 1/23 on the Toyota site.

No brochure yet.

Have you had a play with it? I found it very buggy during long-term use... just wondering if it's been fixed!!

Does the TRK also have a towing eye tool to screw in the front or rear socket behind the bumper, I have one in my 22 2.0 gr sport. I’m assuming ideally I’ll need the inserts of putting a oem space saver in the TS boot from a HB

Just picked up my MY23 Design TS. Great so far, love the new front lights and onboard system. The digital cockpit is a big upgrade from what I saw of the MY19 demo car I drove.  Haven’t got near many of the features yet but very happy so far!

Great Looking Car !

My 2.0 Excel HB has just gone into build today !! ETA delivery March 21st

A couple of questions

Do you use Android Auto ? and the Port for its connection is it USB or USB C ?

Are there USB C ports on the rear Console

What is the 2 Litre like in terms of MPG in Urban and M/Way Driving ? Plus what is the road noise like on the M/Way ?

Android auto works well, though it takes longer to start up than it used to on my Kia.  USB C connection - you'll need a short lead.

I haven't found a way of getting the next junction on the HUD (though it does if I use the toyota satnav).

I have a couple of USB Cs in the rear (Excel TS).

Too early to say what the MPG is.

I have on order that exact same spec and colour. By the time I get mine I expect that colour will be discontinued though.😁

No worries, I will wait with you for your review comparison between both design spec cars 20 vs 23. 👍

I’ve done a few trips on the Motorway with my my23 TS 2 litre.

With 2x adults, 1x 5 year old child, the boot full of stuff, outside temperature between 0 and 7 degrees Celsius and adaptive cruise control set to 70 mph my trip averages are between 50 and 54 mpg. I need to try lowering the speed to 60/65 mph next time and see if there's improvement.

My best mpg trip value on a motorway (on my own and empty boot) was 72 mpg, when I was forced to drive at 50 mph for most of the journey (because of the average speed limit).

In the city my averages are between 42 and 49 mpg, atm.

Hopefully, this values will improve when it stops being so bl**dy cold every day! 😁

The noise on the Motorway is acceptable. However, I'd like to hear this from someone who had the previous model. They'd be able to tell the difference.

Would you be able to do screen shot of this in your app an post here? I don't think I can see it. 😕

Did you have to de-activate/re-activate the service to get these?
