Spinning sound under glove box

2017 hybrid: Underneath my glove box, there is another plastic “shielded” box, with what looks like cables going into it.

I’ve noticed that when the car is both stationary and moving, there is quite a loud spinning sound, almost like the sound of a cd or dvd in its drive. Same volume regardless of speed, EV/normal mode.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Hi, over there is located your heating fan motor and it’s the only thing that rotates.
You can turn it off via off button on your hvac controls and see if you can hear this sound again.

When was the cabin filter last replaced? If you are not sure best to get it check and replaced . 👍

Change cabin filter if it looks dirty or more than 2 years old and add a drop of oil onto spindle of fan motor.
