MOT and Service on the Auris (the oil burner)

MOT and service done. Emissions were the worry but is was a straight first pass... this time...

I notice the HC result is high. Whether this is a sign of things to come or just that the engine may have been cool but able to generate a pass I don't know. Looks like 30 minutes elapsed between leaving the car and the time stamp on the emissions sheet. As far as I can tell by looking this up the HC result is a sign of unburnt fuel. The other results are fine.

Still using 10W40 Castrol Ultraclean and this is what the servicing garage used again this year (at my request). 0W20 is the Toyota preferred grade for this engine.

Oil consumption is around 1L per 700 miles as a 12 month average. I will keep an ongoing check on consumption. Mileage is 92k

Looks good 👍

Glad everything was ok with the car. Yours is one of the best preserved  I have seen from these years. 👍
