Hello.

I wanted to know, if there is any Settings to manually control the headlight and DRL in my car? Even if I put the knob to other mode from Auto position, headlights glow up even if at day? I believe, other cars have the feature to manually control of DRL and Headlight as per requirement at any particular time of day? Why can't I do my one?

Any help will be sincerely appreciated.

Best regards

Could you clarify what you're asking, please? DRLs are mandatory in the EU (and indeed almost all countries around the world now) so no manufacturer should be providing the ability to switch them off.

If you are just asking how to prevent the headlights coming on when the car thinks it's dark enough I don't think that is possible.

It's an odd design decision from Toyota along with designing the same switch so that you can't put the rear fog lights on without having the fronts on.

Mercedes too.

I agree though as rear fogs are more necessary in daylight when front fogs are no better than headlights.

There are times when running the engine with all lights off is desirable, for instance police surveillance for one.  😏

Yeah. Rear fog lights are an important safety feature. Front fog lights are only useful when it's very foggy and you're struggling to see the verge. That's why I think that forcing us to have front fog lights on when mostly we only need the rears is a poor decision.

I think the rear fogs on only when the front are on is almost universal. You only need the rears on to increase your visibility from the rear. If the conditions are that bad you must need the fronts on.

Think the OP may be in Bangladesh, so requirements for DRLs may be different to Europe and the UK.

Back to the subject of DRLs please.
