Yes.  It doesn’t show a lot, just the heater settings and the door lock status.  It sends you reminders if a door isn’t shut and the other day when anchorwoman went to the shops, she must have caught a window switch and it sent me a text to say the left rear window was open.  I phoned her and when she went to investigate it was open by about 10mm.  I thought that was quite useful.

I think the system is learning a bit. Because it send me a notification about the cas if been left un-locked but when I park my car in my garage, no notigication on my phone. It knows from gps I'm home. But that's only my speculation, not that I read this or something.

How can you possibly draw this conclusion Terry????   Your car has them both and they work.

You mean unlocked in your garage?

yes, I have a keylock on my garage doors, the car self is unlocked. But if I parked for example at work and don't lock the car, after 5 to 15 minutes, the system dropped a notification on my phone about the car being left unlocked.

The last system update on 9" screen was a big jump into reliability in my view. After that MyT contain every drive I did since. Even when I do 7 small trips, every trip is shown on the app history. In the past, there saw maybe one or two records on my phone per day.

Don,

You stated Locks & Heater only so that is why I asked about the Park & Start Systems !

Terry, I see you have  City Pack. Never heard of park and start in the MY21.

By Park, do you mean you sit in the car and waggle the gear stick, or you stand outside and press and pray?

I believe Tesla can do this.

I don’t think any Yaris has automatic self parking if that’s what you mean? But you can remotely turn on climate control using the MyT app, which will start the engine to heat the car

The Jappy-spec Mk4's do have self-parking as an option, along with a 360 degree camera and some other stuff we can't have, but I'm not sure about the YC.

The heater is the start.  It will only electrically heat the seats and the steering wheel and only then if the traction Battery is fully charged.  To heat the interior, the car will start.  As long as you have a wifi or 4G connection, you can start it from anywhere in the world.  Where in Derbyshire are you.  We can’t be that far away from having a brew!

I had it in the Corolla, I used it for practise in the doctors car park 😄 and in necessity successfully just once.

That successful one was in a dark street and I could not see well enough.  It really is freaky though it did work.  I tried several times in a supermarket car park and it failed each time.  Maybe too much choice.

One time, for practise, I tried reverse parking at the dealer's.  It was reversing and the rear window suddenly filled with a car broadside on.  It probably knew what it was doing but I gave up.
