:crybaby:

I own a 1987 Camry CSX 2.0 litre fuel injection sedan and today I have noticed that I only have half throttle. I can't accelerate from half way to full. It just make's a very loud throghty sound and it feels like I have the handbrake on.

ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

wild guesses - CLUTCH ,THROTTLE CABLE HAS SLIPPED OUTA HOLDER ON THROTTLE BODY . CHECK BRAKES ARNT BINDING ON ( HOT :ffs: ) DOES IT PULL UP HILLS OK ? DOES IT STALL WHEN YOU LIFT THE CLUTCH WITH HANDBRAKE ON OR DOES THE CAR STILL PULL REALLY WELL ???

Car slows down very badly on hills but doesn't stall with handbrake on. It drives fine crusing but when I try to go back up in gears it struggles to accelerate. Have also noticed over the past few weeks it sometimes idles at around 1500 rpm and I have to give it a quick burst on the accelerator to get it back to normal

when going up hills watch the rev counter , look to see if it gets real high even though you arnt speeding up , classic sign of clutch slip.even dropping a gear whilst driving hard should see the same effect.also i meant whilst parked with handbrake on let out the clutch in first gear, if it stalls without jerking the car forward much the clutch is slipping.
