I find that a lot of the hotel chargers are Tesla Destination chargers - I don't know if the Tesla Type 2 is compatible with the BZ4X???

A Type 2 charger (Tesla or not) conforms to the specifications for a Type 2 charger and is perfectly compatible with the bZ4X. Type 2 specifies an AC fast charger with a power rating of 3-42 kW, Single Phase / Three Phase. Obviously, you will be limited to whatever the onboard charger on the bZ4X will accept.

Thanks, so the restriction on using Tesla chargers is dependent of Tesla allowing them to be used for non Tesla EV's. 

I have now downloaded the Tesla App & set up an account & can see that there are now several destinations where they allow non Teslas to charge - hopefully they will be adding more to the list in the future

Yes, I'm sure a lot of Telsa drivers are unhappy at loosing their exclusive use of the charging stations. 🙂
Unless it's cheaper than other stations I doubt I would give a certain person any of my money.

It’s not just allowing other manufacturers cars to use the Tesla chargers it’s also the problem of bay blocking 2 chargers when one is in use. The location of the charger car port can cause the issue.
