Hia. 
I’ve just bought a 1.4 vvti Corolla and it’s surprisingly good. Comfortable. Nice kit level considering the price ( v cheap).

Pleasant to drive. A bit slow and the hifi is disappointing. But hey, could be a lot worse. 

I have some information to share which I hope is useful, and a question or two.

IMHO the previous gen Corolla is one of the best cars Toyota ever made; It just feels really nice and reassuringly solid to be inside of. Even the doors had a very satisfying clunk when they shut. Will basically last forever if it's looked after!

My brother had one with a 2.0L diesel engine and it was a proper workhorse and felt like you could tow a house with it
