Hello.

I'm seeing spots before my eyes.  The SatNav seems to show spots on all the roads I have been on. How do I turn this annoying feature off?

Graham, it sounds like breadcrumbs. I don't know your system but the Touch 2 Go leaves a series of purple dots as you drive.  AFAIK this feature cannot be turned off.  

I never investigated in detail but a previous route would disappear at some point in time. 

Rather than getting rid of it I actually miss it with the Smart Connect and Android displays.

You can turn off "remember route" in the satnav options

Anyone know how to turn off the voice on the Satnav as a default, eveytime i start a new journey I have to switch the voice guidance off.

I tried in settings - navigation - guidance but doesn't seem to make a difference

The only way i've managed to 'switch off the voice guidance' as a default setting is to go into the sounds settings & reduce the voice guidance volume to zero - if anyone knows of a better way please advise

I Use Apple car play & when I use Apple Maps i get the main maps etc on the main central screen & directional turns on the front screen above the steering wheel - when i use google maps i only get the maps etc on the main central screen - is there a way of getting the directional turns on the front screen like with Apple Maps?

I think I have to be really careful what I say 😀 The think the straight answer is it should not happen is it the built in system or a phone connected navigation?

They shouldn't talk at the same time, but it appears that the direction navigation is a different voice to the text to speech one. 

You should notice that the road names are read out by a different voice. Maybe it's so you hear the street names a bit better. I've got used to it now and don't really notice it as much

You can’t get Google Maps in the HUD - it’s a Google thing not Toyota. I find it frustrating that you can’t get satellite in Maps in CarPlay but you can get it in Google Maps, but you can get HUD in Maps but not Google Maps !

The second woman is the same voice we had on our Merc E Class, I guess different manufacturers use the same database, makes sense really.
