Will my ECU support DIY cruise control?

I read some topics here that described installing an aftermarket CC stalk into a car that didn't come with CC fitted. I have two questions I'm trying to answer:

  • Will my Yaris ECU support CC if I install an aftermarket CC stalk?
  • Does it have the wiring pre-installed?

I noticed some members seemed to be able to answer those questions, but I have no idea how to figure that out.

Here's my car's info:

Market
Europe
Year
07/2017
Make
TOYOTA
Frame
NHP130
Vehicle characteristics
PRODUCT: FRP: PRODUCED AT TMMF
DESTINATION: EUR: EUROPE
DRIVER'S POSITION: LHD: LEFT-HAND DRIVE
ENGINE: 1NZFXE: 1500CC 16-VALVE DOHC EFI
TRANSMISSION: CVT: CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
MODEL MARK: N: N (MODEL MARK)
NO.OF DOORS: 5D: 5-DOOR
COLOR CODE: 8X2
TRIM CODE: FH20

ECU part number I found: 89661-0U230

Regarding the wiring;: I popped the hood and looked at the cables in the HV fuse box. The thick white cable that's described in retrofitting CC guides seems to be there. Bit anxious about opening ,y steering wheel assembly unless I'm sure this would work.

Thick white wire ?? You will not see anything under the bonnet as it's just 2 wires to the ecu

Just looked it up with the info given - it is just a matter of adding the stalk - disconnect the 12v Battery and leave it for 20 min before doing the work, pop the airbag off and fit the stalk

Stalk 84632-34011 make sure it comes with the cable and cover

you release the airbag through the hole in the bottom with a flat ended tool to push the spring  up

I fitted it to my wife’s 1.33 Sport 2015 MY, plug & play - only had to core a small hole in the steering wheel removable panel at the side. Bet the servicing guys wondered how that got there at its last dealer service.
