hatch stay loose ?

hi can someone tell me how to tighten this stay up its moving and the two little bolts are tight ,,?

The inserts pull out of the handle and just spin, also happens if you over tighten them

also looks like it's letting in water

I would think so, take it off the car and inspect it

hi just had a check ,,the bolts are not spinning there tight they feel as if there bottoming out but i tried a couple of washers on but still the stay moves about ,,im frightened of the glass shattering ,,

Have you taken the handle off the car ?

the metal wiper motor bracket need to be insulated from the glass there should be rubber pads under the bracket

it will be the brass bushes that are in the handle that are the issue

hi not long bought it ,,no i haven't removed anything  the brass bushes in the handle are not spinning in the handle ,,not sure what these insulated bushes look like ,,?

The bushes/insert can pull forward and grip again the bolts are tight as the brass is against the bracket, the bracket has rubber on it to protect the glass

i will whip something up in paint

hi i just took it off again not sure if they have moved or not ,,would need to see a new one i suppose

looking at it a bit closer the seal on the outside handle is squished flat hence the water and gunge behind it and a combination of other factors

i was thinking that ,,i will try to see source a new seal if i ts possible to buy ,,?

think i may have to make one cant find any on the net ,,,unless the main dealers have them ,,

It comes with the handle - I thought you ordered the one above, replace the handle and the bracket and that rules out any problems

hi no not ordered anything yet ,,the one on eBay is used might be the same state as mine ,,i will try a main dealer soon as i get a chance

hi just like to thank you for your help in this ,,,i have just managed to sort it ,,what i did was grind a little of the brass bush off only 1mm and its tight as a drum ,,👌
