Avensis 2014 side light (W21/5W) replacement?

Hi everyone,

I have replaced my H11 dipped beams to some fancy Ice white and assumed the side lights would been 501 (which I have loads of), but realised they are W21/5W on the newer models.

Does anyone know how to remove these? I managed to take the housing out the body, but cannot remove the bulb.

Thanks

These are pull out similar to w5w.
Perhaps the 21w part is the daytime running light?
Buy only good quality stuff like osram Osram 7515-02B Original Equipment W21/5W bulbs in a twin blister pack - Transparent https://amzn.eu/d/5tciAbX

I have tried to simply, just pull out. but it isn't that easy. I'm assuming there is a process of doing this?

Most likely because it has been cooked from the heat. Perhaps you can try to warm it up a bit and with wiggle and pull , you can use mechanics gloves with rubberised fingers, these gives excellent grip for that job 👍

That 21W drl filament can even melt the reflector above the bulb. This has happened in my car both sides.
