Hi,
Does anyone know if I unplug Yaris Cross factory camera (for LTA and other safety functions) is it going to lose settings?

Why would you do this?

I can't see what settings it would lose?

I guess there could be some calibration settings, but I would think that would be stored in non-volatile memory with the system controller.

Yes, calibration settings. I want to unplug camera, to insert another cable, so to power a dash dvr camera. A car electrician engineer told me that I will lose calibration settings, and the camera will need calibration again. Is it true?

Given how many people here who've had their 12v Battery go flat and been fine, I doubt unplugging it would cause any problems as long as you don't knock it or something. It might be a good idea to disconnect the 12v Battery while messing with that stuff anyway, as it's all tied into the ADAS safety systems and you don't want it freaking out and setting off an airbag or something!

That's what I was thinking! It's crazy to calibrate camera every time you need to change Battery...
