Yaris Cross Service Interval?

I have just found conflicting information on service intervals.

I believe it is the sooner of 10,000 or 12 months.  The miles to service displayed in the car equals 10,000-miles done.

But the new MyT App gives a date that is 13 months from when I got the car or 20,000 miles.

Is this an official change that has not been updated in the car?  Is 13 months actually a 12 month interval plus a leeway of one month?

AFAIK there is no leeway, at least that's the official stance from Toyota UK.

I think it's an error - Official service intervals for the Yaris and YC, and pretty much all UK Toyotas, is still 12 months/10k miles.

Think the only current Toyotas with different service intervals to 12 months/10,000 miles are the Proace and Proace City - clones of Stellantis products (Expert/Despatch/Vivaro/Scudo and  Partner/Berlingo/Combo/Doblo) - which have 2 year/20,000 mile service intervals.

As regards older Toyotas, some Avensis models for fleet use only had 12 month/12,500 mile service intervals.

We received a system text message saying "an appointment for tax" was due.

Looked spammy as hell, but actually came via MyT system. We'd already received the official VED letter and had already taxed it.

I think Toyota need to review these things a little more carefully.

Call me old fashioned, but personally I would stick to 10,000miles or 1 year, whichever occurs first.

I suspect that's what is still recommended?
