I've already sprayed several spray cans empty, but it won't help removed the filter first time, and then sprayed the bus completely empty through the fan and the 2nd time outside where the fresh air is sucked in, but this did not

what am I doing wrong?  Youcan someone explain to me clearly how I should approach this, and it certainly does not depend on the product I use.

Hi,

I can give you some tips on that issue and you can try them:

First you need to check AC evaporator drainage pipe located under the passenger footwell carpet, lift up the carpet top end, find the pipe, disconnect it and inject water and check if water drains outside the car, usually it’s on top of the lower control arm or near this location.

Once the pipe it’s checked and clear , confirm the system works move to next step. Check the air intake grill near the Wiper Blades if it’s clean and free from debris, leaf’s and dirt, mud, if not you need to clean and dismantle if necessary. Check free water flow through there, use bottle to pour some water and listen the water goes through the gutter system and out the car from the bottom.
If all ok here now proceed to step 3.
Remove cabin filter, set the hvac  to max temperature and air intake from outside , air flow towards middle and feet, No AC, switch AC off , fan speed 1 or 2, start the car and let the engine running to reach working temperature, leave all windows open 2cm and close all doors, go outside the car and you can spray dettol or similar antibacterial spray into the air intake grill, few pumps only , may repeat then after 10 min again, but don’t spray too much.
The idea here is to let the high temperature kill the bacteria. While doing this process you can switch between re circulation and outside air, switch between various air flow settings too to make sure all ducts get heat and antibacterial treatment. Turn on AC for 10 min then switch off and let the hot air only dry the system. Total time minimum 30 min. After that open all doors and boot to refresh the interior, replace the cabin filter with new.
One these sprays will do the job the best Dettol All-in-One Disinfectant Spray Pack of 6 Antibacterial Disinfectant Spray, 2 x Lemon Breeze, 2 x Crisp Linen and 2 x Orchard Blossom https://amzn.eu/d/b3FpXBI

Do not use and spray any automotive sprays inside the air ducts as cleaning process especially those that forms a foam, some of these can cause more issues than help. 👍

Yes this show be ok . Check the pipe under the carpet too. And then you can djj on the procedures and see if anything changes for better. You will need to allow a few more days after that before the smell completely disappear.

Better not to mess up with these filters as basically all the air you breathe inside the car goes through these filter and air ducts. Anything you spray in even after you change the filter with new may leave some residue on the walls of the air ducts and then cause you health issues. Kill bacterial with heat and replace more often cabin filter, blueprint most basic one works great and make sure the drainage system is unblocked and functional. 👍

Condensation and fungi , bacterial accumulation on the ac evaporator or near. Try the heat procedure and with the time it will go away.
How hot is in your country  right now? If it’s above 25C° and after you switch off ac go outside the car near the front wheels on RHD car will be left on LHD will be on the right and check for water puddles, if not then means you have blocked drainage pipe or channels. You need to look for that. And this is also one of the reasons for bad smell. The other is evaporator bacteria and you can kill it with heat and some anti bacterial spray.
