MY 2016 REG AYGO VVTi`S AUTOMATIC HANDBRAKE ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. WHAT IS THE CURE PLEASE?

I presume drum brakes are working but handbrake lever is coming up a long way.

You can remove the rubber bung and turn the star nut with a screwdriver 2 or 3 clicks

do the same with the other drum check handbrake travel if its clicks 3 or 4 times thats OK.

If you not sure then remove drum cover you see the star nut on a bolt between the two brake shoes just below the twin piston brake cylinder.
