Whats a good way to hardwire a Dashcam to my new corolla hybrid? I don't want to risk damaging anything, but I'm not familiar with installing these in hybrids.

Hi the best is to use a piggyback fuse to the fuse box underneath the glove box and use the power socket fuse. There is no cutting cables and it is easy to remove with no damage.

Just piggyback to an ignition live fuse

the 12v outlet fuse is a good choice

I did the piggyback fuse job. I've done the same in my last 5 cars.

Ask your dealer to do it if not sure but then again not sure they would unless you bought their Dashcam

I agree with the piggy fuse option, I have done it that way on my current and previous Corolla and will be moving the camera to the new Yaris Cross. There have been a few posts on the forum on 'how to'.

Just be aware you can't put the fuse cover back on with a piggyback fuse as it stands too high, so make sure you stick it somewhere safe!!!
