DAB signal vs rear window heater

When I switch on the rear window heater the DAB switches off. 

Turn off the rear window heater and the DAB switches back on. 

any ideas anyone?

Install a clamp-on ferrite to the dab aerial cable behind the radio (black plug)

Did you ever get this sorted? Mine's doing exactly the same....

Haven't experienced this myself in the RAV but likely electrical interference blocking a weak DAB signal as inferred by Flash22 above.

It used to happen all the time in my last couple of vehicles (Land Rovers) but the DAB aerial was integrated in the rear window or rear quarter lights. I presumed it was in the sharks fin aerial on the RAV but I don't know for sure.

As I posted above, a clip on ferrite bead will sort it, TDK 3-5mm

 

Sharks fins are FM only in most cases with DAB on the glass either front or rear
